Question of the week

It's Homecoming Week. Even with kids in high school, some people hang on to the spirit of Homecoming, the game, the parade, etc. Other people, even some parents, let the kids enjoy the week and just take a second (or less) to remember their Homecoming experiences when they were in high school. In my extended family, we have those who see it both ways. Now I live close to the high school (can hear the score of the football game if we're outside close). How would you, or will you, handle Homecoming when your kids are in school? It goes kinda along the same lines of reunions. Think about it. Brave ones, speak out.

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year?

Nutcracker tryouts were Saturday and for the possible last year for a while, Elizabeth, my dancer girl, tried out with a bunch of her friends.  The competition was tighter this year, some girls from the U showed up and made the competition fearse. After almost 3 hours of try outs, they were sent home for postings Sunday at 5.

5 came, 5 went. 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, all came and went, apparently the cast was top heavy because of all the talented girls en pointe. Finally at 11, it came up. Disappointment was rampant. Only 2 former principals were principals again, 2 out of 6 positions. Last year Liz was a soloist as Dew Drop who dances to Waltz of the Flowers with her own corps.

We're pleased to announce that Liz was chosen again to be a Principal as Dew Drop again! We are very proud of her and Christmas coming early to the Billings household.

Can you say 22 years and running?

We four come from land of Braves,
Bountiful High School, Home of Braves,
We four wear red and grey proudly,
to football games especially.

We now recognize the rivals of the Braves,
especially in football,
the poor Woods Cross Wildcats
We four mourn for cousins that cheer for the Wildcats :(

Senior Brave Lightfoot Lizzy cheered for Braves in football on
Woods Cross territory the 17th of September.
Woods Cross threw. Woods Cross ran.
Woods Cross was suppose to win, but Braves came in Red and Grey.

22-17 Later, Sorry Woods Cross, 22 years of victories and going!
Na-Na-Nana, Na-Na-Nana, Hey Hey Hey, Goodbye!
GO BRAVES!!

Promise a fun dance especially if friends or willing to try to become friends. Girl is bubbly, outgoing, well liked and fairly attractive (photo attached). Seeing that Homecoming is in less than a month, prompt reply to this is preferred. Curtains will be going up to take care of front window-itis. Reply below.
