USA World Cup Team First in Bracket to 16

After stunning victory over the powerhouse England, and a nail biter win over Algeria, USA World Cup team finds themselves not only progressing to the 16 in first place from the "C" Bracket, but lined up to play heavy hitter Ghana or Germany on Saturday at 12:30 MT on ABC. This should be an awesome game depending on what teams decide to show up. USA could actually take the match. Extra shout out to Donovin who scored the deciding goal over Algeria in continuation time after the 90'. GO USA!

Father's Day

Father's Day, made official in the 1970s, is a great holiday to stop and think about those men in our lives and what they mean to us.  On this Father's Day, I especially have to highlight my husband, Robert, who has survived another year with us with grace and strength. Not only is he the support and confidant of our son who is in his first year of his foreign mission... not only does he support and encourage our daughter who is preparing to finish high school and apply for colleges and continues to fulfill her dancing dream, but he carries most of the household necessities as well as my needs because of my disability. His hard work both at home and at the office, his compassion that bypasses most I know and his sense of fun under most situations, those that warrant it, all make him wonderful to live with and a wonderful care taker in various ways. Of all the things I did in college, marrying Rob and having our two wonderful children were the best. May the next year be even better for you, than the last. To my love, Rob.

USA World Cup Team Update

First Match: England
4' England
just before 45' USA

Great game leaving the USA with a tie going into group play the rest of the week.  We weren't suppose to have a prayer against England. Last WC win over England was 60 years ago.

Go USA!!

GOOOOOOOAL!

Today is the official first day of matches for the FIFA World Cup with Mexico vs. the host country, South Africa.
BUT, it doesn't really matter until tomorrow at 11:00 MST when the USA takes on England. It should be a good tight game, but the US just might come out on top.

Watch out for the new official balls that have a zing to them when kicked hard with any spin on them at any altitude. Addidas is now admitting it may affect the games. NO REALLY. Should make it interesting.

Anyway, GO USA!!!
